How to troubleshoot this issue

From time to time we update the PDF viewer that is embedded in Insight Engine™. That's the component that allows you to preview docket filings.

If your browser cached certain elements, it may not pick up all of the updates and this can lead to PDFs not loading or not displaying correctly. You may see something like one of the screenshots below:

How to fix this:

First try to do a "hard refresh" of your browser by following the instructions below.

Navigate to a page in Insight Engine™ that is experiencing the PDF preview issue. Then do the following:

  • Chrome, Firefox, or Edge for Windows: Press Ctrl+F5 (If that doesn’t work, try Shift+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R).

  • Chrome or Firefox for Mac: Press Shift+Command+R.

  • Safari for Mac: There is no simple keyboard shortcut to force a hard refresh. Instead, press Command+Option+E to empty the cache, then hold down Shift and click Reload in the toolbar.

If you've tried the above and you are still having display issues, you can clear your browser history. Make sure that you choose to clear cached files.
